Specification MIL-T-10727: Difference between S/C 2 and S/C 3
I have a callout on two different blue prints. One calls for Tin Plate per MIL-T-10727 Type 1 S/C 2 The other calls for MIL-T-10727 Type 1 S/C 3. What is the S/C mean? Also can I get a hard copy of it anywhere. I cannot seem to find out anything on it.

S/C means service classification, no doubt, although Mil-T-10727 does not itself contain that acronym or term. You can view or download it at http://assist.daps.dla.mil/docimages/0000/74/05/8243.PD7

p.s. July 2013: the address of the DLA website this week is https://quicksearch.dla.mil/, but that spec has been voided and superceded by ASTM B545 and ASTM B339.
