Weldability differences of galvanized steels

I am looking at manufacturing a part comprised of 20 gage galvanized steel. I would like to weld the part versus having to add-on additional components (mainly rivets) and operations (holes for the rivets). My question is which (if either) is better suited for spot welding, electro-galvanized or hot-dipped galvanized?

Thanks!

Neither. Galvanneal would work best.

Welding will destroy both hot dip galvanizing and electroplated zinc. By "electro galvanizing" I assume you mean electroplating? In both the zinc layer will vapourize at welding temperatures.
