Waterproof paint for use on chrome plated faucet handle

We Mfg. zinc die cast faucet handles and such, then buff and chrome plate them. We have a customer that wants us to put paint in some recesses on the top of the handle. This paint has to be waterproof and harden within a few hours. It also has to be opaque. Blue and red are the colors. Anyone out there have any ideas what type of paint and the easiest way to apply it?

Thanks,

I'd say do powder coating before the plating.
