Electroless Palladium...Not on Copper
My company currently uses electrolytic palladium as a finish plating for decorative purposes. The problem is that the high current density areas are receiving too much plate and the low current areas little or no plating. I know this sounds like a typical problem but the meat of my question is...Does anyone know of an electroless palladium bath that is proven to have good adhesion properties on substrates other than copper. An electroless bath would solve all the problems we encounter with parts that have a complex geometry.

There is at least one publication listing the following electroless palladium: Pd Chloride 10g/l, Rochelle salt ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] 19g/l, Ethylenediamine 25.6 g/l, add sodium hypo 4.1 g/l at 20o C, adjust pH to 8.5 with HCl, working temp 68-73 °C.
