How to grow rough oxides on NITINOL wires

NITINOL: Do you suggest me an electrochemical way to grow rough oxides on nitinol (55ni) wires? Potential, current, solutions...? Is there someone that studied NiTi alloys by EIS impedance technique? Thanks to all!
