PICKLING AND PASSIVATION

Question: Why do we have to go for Pickling and Passivation of the Stainless Steel Weld Joints. What are the different solutions for Pickling and Passivation?

By doing pickling and passivation of Stainless Steel weld joints with novel gel / jelly type product it removes weld scales, discolouration, burn marks, rust - corrosion spots from weld seam & surrounding areas without wire brushing or grinding. If that are not cleaned then corrosion can develop in that area.

There are many novel surface treatments for Stainless Steel pickling & passivation which conform to International standards and gives professional looking passive surface finish.
