Zinc plating a galvanized steel box

Is it possible to zinc plate something that has been galvanized?

I don't know whether you mean you want to do this is situ, and whether you want to preserve the galvanized finish underneath the zinc plating. But the short answer is that the part in question would normally be passed through a zinc plating line which would include an acid dip that will remove all of the galvanizing; but there is probably no reason the part in question could not be sent through such a zinc plating line and be zinc plated. Please expound if this did not answer your question, Mr. Jurin.
