Poor Nickel plating adhesion on super magnets

We have just come across a new substrate to us (Neodymium,Iron,Boron) used to make super magnets. The material's also alternatively known as NIB's. We are having problems at the moment with adhesion, does anybody have any experience of Nickel plating super magnets? We've tried all conventional pre-treatments including a NiCl strike, but all to no avail.

GM,

I would like to know the pretreatment and activation tried so far to suggest in overcoming the problem of adhesion.
