Creating a black conductive finish on aluminum
Hello all,
We manufacture equipment for the sport of sword fencing and are looking to improve the looks of our products. The guards of our weapons are made from Aluminum and I would like to give the outer (or both surfaces) a black finish. The catch is that it needs to be electrically conductive. The articles will be used indoors at room temperature and resistance to abrasion would be useful but not essential. Many thanks for any help you are able to offer.

Just one possibility:
1.nickel plate your object
2.then you must silver plate it
3.then object must be coloured with potassium polysulfide (potassium sulfide conducts electric current)

Sorry Alex-silver sulfide is conductor. Good luck!

Dear sir,
Black chromium is both conductive and abrasion resistant.
