Cleaning copper without dipping

My wife has a business in an old part of Wichita. We were wanting to brighten up the outside and found that the very dark trim around the windows was actually copper. What product should I use to clean copper that can not be dipped? What type of protection would be required

Incralac
(brass lacquer with benzotriazole)
incralac
on eBay or

Amazon

(affil links)

You can make a paste of pure alcohol and french chalk, rub it on with soft cloth. Rinse with alcohol. Incralac this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] is good lacquer for copper and its alloys(or any other proprietary product).

Good luck.
