Chemical Removal of Braze Alloy
How can I chemically remove AMS 4782 braze alloy from a cobalt alloy. The composition of the braze alloy is 70% nickel, 20% chromium, 10% silicon.

I have real doubts if you will be able to do it. They are too similar and brazing normally forms an excellent alloy to the point that you could not strip out the chrome. Machining or lazer or EDM will probably have to be used. If it formed enough carbides, you might be able to mask it off and find some combination of reverse current voltage and acid strength that would attack it very slightly preferentially. It may take a combination of acids. If you do find a way, please post how you did it.
