Silver flaking from E.N.

For the past few weeks, our silver strike and plate has been flaking from our E.N. The basics have all been covered by our suppliers; cleaning, activation, carbon filtering solutions, etc. Anyone have any suggestions? We have done this job for a least a year with no problems. Neil

Dear Neil , If your suppliers say everything is OK with the solutions , the problem must be in the activation sequence , Do you use a Woods Nickel Strike over the top of the EN before silver ? If not try it as it will certainly activate the EN and provide a good Key for the Silver Strike . Without more info as to the state of your strike & plate bath I am loath to recommend anything further. regards
