Building a shower stall with liquid vinyl

2004

Dear Finishing . com,

I would like to know if liquid vinyl can be used indoors for creating shower enclosures, etc. I am planning on building a bathroom with a shower "stall". I am not interested in tile and all of it's grout joints. I am not interested in the cheap looking panel systems available for tub surrounds. I would be very interested in using liquid vinyl to coat the walls making them leak proof and easy to maintain. Is this possible? Please let me know what you think. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Hello, Jack of all trades, have you already completed your project?. I would float my walls with grout as if preparing for tile and then Liquid Vinyl, I wonder about cleaning and wear however because this product is not to be used on walking surfaces such as decks. The adhesion to the mortar would be incredible I just wonder about material wear. I have a buddy that does tile and I have seen him float walls and then stain the mortar with no seams.

Good Luck or if you are done let me know.
