Dissolving aluminum
I am looking for a way to dissolve an aluminum casing off of a copper insert, without damaging the copper. Melting and cutting will damage the copper. Is there anything out there that will do this?

This can be done by dissolving the aluminum in concentrated caustic soda ⇦liquid caustic soda in bulk on Amazon [affil link] , but we don't know if you are trained and equipped to do this since it is a very dangerous chemical.
