Black finish for cast iron

We are looking to put a black finish on cast iron plate without adding any thickness to size of plate.

Look for black oxide finishers on this site in the Vendors/Advertisers sections (www.finishing.com/shops/). Or post an RFQ. Black oxide on steel is what we do, but cast iron comes out with a red tint in our system. There are companies with the right chemicals to achieve what you desire.

Good luck.

Is 20 microns a thickness which you do not want? Well, if you can live with that then E-coat is a great way to finish castings and get black color.

Cheers.
