Spent citric acid Disposal
We have a problem of disposing the Spent citric acid after chemical cleaning of the Carbon steel reactor Jacket . We have a waste water but the Spent Solution COD is 30800 ppm . How to handle the Situation , Possible option with us is the Dilution by large amount of water .

Think about letting the solution evaporate to a dry waste and dispose of accordingly. Simple air movement can evaporate a lot of water from an acidic solution and will leave you with a lot less volume in waste, and the bonus of no longer having a waste "water" to deal with.
