Changing brass to chrome or patina

I just bought a new house and every bathroom fixture is brass, which I do not like. Is there is a way to refinish the brass in a chrome or patina other than gold color, so I don't have to change out all the fixtures, faucets, etc?

Thanks.

Hopefully someone will advise you that I am in error, Ms. Blaine, but I don't think so. Nickel-chrome electroplating, and similar finishes are done in factories, not sprayed out of a can. I doubt that Krylon, lacquers, tints, or paints or anything you can do at home would have anywhere near the durability, adhesion, and consistent appearance that you would be satisfied with.

It is theoretically possible to hire someone to come in with a portable brush electroplating system and electroplate the fixtures with nickel and an imitation chrome, but there is no way that I can predict the level of a stranger's satisfaction with the work of a hypothetical contractor.
