Hydrobromic acid (HBr) for stainless steel pickling and brass radiator manufacturing




Q. Please advise if hydrobromic acid has been found to be effective in Stainless Steel pickling in place of hydrofluoric acid / nitric acid?

Please identify any technical info available in this area as well as any health and safety and environmental concerns.

Q. I am using hydrobromic acid in my factory radiator manufacturing (brass and copper). I have a problem understanding why hydrobromic acid is the best in dealing with:
1) corrosion, 2) oil dissolving 3) very good to clean the surfaces from oil and organic residue from manufacturing process.
