Choosing anode material for electrocleaning tank
Hi there,
Can anyone advise in electrical degreasing the anode plate I use is SUS316 but white composition is deposit on the anode plate after some time. Is there any other type of material or way that can be use to prevent this to happen?

Plain low carbon steel is fine for most electro-cleaning tanks.

Hi Mr Ted,
Thanks for the advice, but do the mild steel rust in the solution? Or do I need any protective coat?
Thanks,

Steel will not rust in typical alkaline electrocleaner formulations, and my estimate (although based mostly on USA installations) is that 99 percent of alkaline electrocleaner tanks are equipped with steel anodes/cathodes (or use the steel walls of the tank as the anodes/cathodes).
