Which sealer and how to obtain a rust finish on metal, which will not rub off
MY QUESTION IS SIMILAR TO letter #30522, UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THE HOW TO OF YOUR WEBSITE. I AM A WELDER BY TRADE, WHICH ALLOWS ME TO DO CUSTOM METAL ART WHICH ENTAILS CUT-OUT SIGNS, SPUR MAKING ALONG WITH VARIOUS HOUSEHOLD DECORATIONS. I KNOW THIS IS A REPEATED QUESTION, BUT I AM INTERESTED IN HOW TO AND THE PRODUCT USED TO OBTAIN A RUSTED FINISH ON METAL AND WHICH TYPE OF CLEAR SEALER TO APPLY TO THE METAL TO KEEP IT FROM RUBBING OFF. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS.
THANK YOU,

You can use 15 gm/lit iron chloride solution(water or pure alcohol). Only grease and oxide free objects can be coloured. Process must be repeated several times, between layers you must scratch brush object. Epoxy based clearcoat is best.
Good luck!
