Coating anodized aluminum
Could/would somebody advise me what would be the best/most cost efficient way to color coat with a hard durable surface on the surface of anodized aluminum. Can one do easily or with sufficient effort conduct this at home ?

You don't put a hard, durable, colored finish onto anodized aluminum, Jeffrey, you put the color into aluminum as part of the anodizing process. You prepare the substrate, anodize it, put it into dye (which it absorbs like a sponge), and then seal it to close the pores with the dye in it. It is possible to anodize at home as a hobby. Whether you can do it as a business within your home depends on local laws; you can't in the USA.
