Increased conductivity of DM water generated

2004

I am working with Tractor manufacturing unit as a Maintenance head.We are using DM plant for CED painting on sheet metal. I am facing a Typical problem. Conductivity of DM water storage tank is about 2 but it goes to bath within 4 hours conductivity reaches to 50 . Earlier conductivity was reaching to 30 after 15 days of process. We checked the process of pretreatment but no changes of other tank found abnormal. My question is how we can ensure that quality of DM produced by chemical analysis in lab. So condition of resin can be predicted & if anion & cation is more than 3 years old then can it effect conductivity of water.Ph of water is 6.5 to 7.

Dear Gupta,

Your conductivity depends on the temp, dirt on the path etc., also. Please take the water from the outlet of the system as near as possible and check how this behaves.
