Making wood finials look like brass

I would like to find a way to make ball-shaped wooden curtain rod finials look like shiny brass. Is there a product/method available to do this?

Hello Jon,

The quick and easy way to get your parts looking like brass is to go to the hardware store and buy a can of brass spray paint. You won't get a shiny brass surface, but it can't hurt to try. You could spend lots of money on a paint that looks closer to the brass finish you are looking for, but it would likely be cheaper to just go out and buy a new brass plated rod.
