How to electropolish rhenium and ruthenium?
Hello,
I'd like to know how I may be able to polish(electropolish) rhenium to a bright luster. Also ruthenium. Also open to the possibility of mechanical polishing. thanks

I think the safest way is to use conventional polishing methods with a buffing wheel and paste. I believe you can use one electropolishing solution to polish gold, so I would expect it to work on both rhenium and ruthenium, but it is extremely dangerous and highly explosive.

I agree with Mr. Crichton. Also vibratory equipment for large volumes.
