Want to circular scar a stainless steel table top
We want to scar (circular) the top of our recently purchased stainless steel tabletop. How would we go about doing this, and what would we use to repolish the top to make it free of burrs and maintain a smooth surface?

All you need to scar a stainless surface is a grinder. I use a 4 1/2" with a sandpaper attachment. Use 60 or 80 grit zirconia alumina sanding disks (blue colored disks), or over lapping sanding disks. These blue disks last about twice as long as the other available disks. You are in for a job though, stainless is very hard and there will be some hard work and time involved.
