Anodizing over Teflon
I need to know the affects of anodizing over Teflon In particular, is the metal modified in some visible manner so a person can distinguish between ones that have not had the anodizing process over the Teflon from those with the standard anodize then Teflon sprayed.

I have been wrong more than once in my life and this may be another time. You can NOT anodize "over" teflon! Some items that are not cookware have the anodized part dipped in a teflon dispersion in something like a silicate media. A trace of the teflon goes into the pores but most is locked in the silicate as it tuns to a concrete like material on the surface. Cookware is normally hard anodized. Some of this has a spray coating of teflon (like a special paint)that is baked on. Now, with that, what is your "new" question.

Unless I'm seriously mistaken, I don't believe that one could possibly anodize over teflon (although you can definitely apply teflon over anodizing). Anodizing is "grown" from the Al substrate, and the teflon would inhibit/prevent that growth.
