Chemical reaction between salt and sulfamic acid
2004
I have just started working with Sulfamic Acid (H3NO3S). I have been developing a salt neutralizer that maintains a very good pH range. My question is simply the following reaction and what the products are:
H3NO3S + NaCl + H2O => ?
What are the products?

Since it is in solution, you will form a mixture of sulphamate, chloride and sodium ions. From this you can get sodium sulphamate and hydrochloric acid, depending on the chemical equilibrium of the system.
