Sanitary finish on tanks
If I need a surface finish in side a Tank to 3,20 µmRA. Do the welds need to be ground flush.? What is the best method of polishing ? And the same questions as above for a finish of 0.38 µmRA?

The clue to this answer is the end use of your product. All materials have to some degree porosity, including welds. However, surface variation is another problem. Therefore, smoothness and/or flatness is key to this answer. So yes, grinding the welds or the uneven nature of the surface would be recommended for the possibility of minimizing the forming of bacteria if nothing else in or on your tanks.
