Question about Stovepipes
I work with an Insurance Company. I have a question re: Black steel Stovepipe vs. Galvanized Stovepipe. Which is the better, safer type of stovepipe to be used for a woodstove?

There is never an exact answer to such questions--it's like asking which is the best pickup truck.
But several woodstove manufacturers warn against using galvanized. Although I personally think their concern is misplaced, you don't want to be in a position where the stove manufacturer says don't use galvanized and you say use galvanized :-)
