Cleaning paint from galvanized metal
I have galvanized steering assembly rods out of an old Chris Craft boat that someone painted. I need to get the paint off of these rods but I am afraid of damaging the galvanized metal underneath. Should I use paint thinner or will this damage the galvanized metal? Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.
Happy Holidays.

Different paints need different solvents, but I'm not aware of organic solvents like turpentine ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] , mineral spirits ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] , or acetone ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] Warning! highly Flammable! harming galvanized metal.
