Must stones be removed to rhodium plate?

I have had a new setting made for my engagement stones, and I want to have it rhodium plated, as it is white gold and slightly yellow. Would someone be able to tell me if the stones must be removed to rhodium plate the ring, and if not, why not?

Hallo Sara,

You can plate rhodium without removing stone.

Sara,

Yes there is no problem Rhodium plating over stones. It is done all the time. Rhodium plating baths are pretty mild and won't effect most stones. You don't make mention of it but I assume your stones are diamonds.
