Pickling verification for internals of contactor tower

We pickled a contactor tower being used in a gas gathering station. And the problem is how to determine the extent of our pickling. We cannot do physical observation of the internals and our client is not satisfied with our corrosion coupon.

Thanks

When you say that your client is not satisfied with your corrosion coupon, I assume that you do not mean that the coupon is not satisfactorily pickled, but rather that the client does not trust it to represent the condition of the internals. I would probably agree with that concern. If it is imperative that the internals be pickled then there must be some specification by which you determine said "proper pickling". If it is visual, then maybe a hunt for scale with a fiber optics camera? If it is inability to sandblast any additional scale, then maybe you need to sandblast an internal section and assay the sand for particles of scale? If it is a chemical reaction test, then again perhaps a camera into the internals to see the result of a spot test?

If you can provide more specifics maybe a reader can help.
