Conductivity of zinc-chromate electroplating materials
I'm looking for products and electrical conductivity information related to zinc-chromate electroplated materials. Specifically, clear chromate products for cold rolled steel that resist fingprinting and provide high electrical conductivity.

We have been using zinc chromate on CRS for our chassis and we have recently learned about zinc whiskers. I cannot offer any support to your question, however maybe some one will know your answer and be able to suggest an alternative protection to eliminate our zinc whisker problem.

I have read an article concerning zinc whiskers growing on the bottom of access floor panels used in computer room as flooring. Most of these utilize electroplated steel on the bottom. I am trying to find information about procedures for testing the panels to see if they have zinc whiskers and if they do a procedure for cleaning/removing them from the panels.
