Heating copper to achieve various colors
I want to heat some copper sheeting (16 oz) to finish a bar top. I have access to a large kiln, and want to know what temp to heat the copper to achieve a dark brownish, red color?
Any ideas, thanks.

letter 2662 addresses heat coloring and you may find it interesting. Although I have no personal experience in heat coloring of copper, I don't think you are really on the right track that colors are proportional to kilning temperatures.
