Student of materials engineering asks about hot dip galvanization
I'm a studying material engineering in UCM, Madrid, Spain. I'm interested about the industry of hot dip galvanizing. I have to do a project about it, so I'm looking for instrumentation, machine, design of plant, prices and whatever you think it could be important.
Thanks,

Hi, Aniano. Good places for on-line articles are www.galvanizeit.org and www.egga.com. An inexpensive introductory book is "Hot-Dip Galvanizing: A Guide to Process Selection and Galvanizing Practice" [adv: link to this book on eBay , Amazon, AbeBooks affil links] by M. J. Hornsby. Good luck.

Hi Aniano,
Try visiting the local hot dip galvanizer in your area. Tell them about you project, and maybe, they'll provide you with information, names of machine manufactures and a little about plant design. Always remember that prices are often country individual. Fx. it is rather expensive to run a hot dip galvanizing in Britain compared to Poland.
Good luck.

Hello, Bollepalli. Unfortunately, you are asking a rather broad range of fundamental questions about galvanizing that would require many many pages to answer. If anyone answers, we will be happy to post the reply, but I'm afraid no one will.
Sorry. I think you need to move your work to a shop which is not experiencing the problem, or hire a galvanizing consultant to help you solve this problem. But a good book or two about galvanizing might help. Good luck, and please come back with more questions when they can be a little more specific. Thanks and good luck.
