How to co-deposit nickel powder particles from chrome plating solution
I'm study about the effect of disperse metallic particles in chromium oxide solution during electrodeposition process. Insoluble lead as anode and carbon steel as cathode. Powder nickel is chosen, added in the solution, magnetic stirrer is used to stir the solution. My question is: how nickel powder can coat at cathode surface?(nickel is in the particle form, not ionic)

The nickel will be occluded in the deposit as a particle. A magnetic stirrer may not be the ideal suspension mechanism; some sort of fluidized bed might do better. And you may need some kind of thickener, colloidal silicon for example. They must be dozens of expired patents about composite plating that you can review. Good luck.
