Some questions about Mil-G-45204 Gold Plating

I understand that there are 3 different types of gold plating in mil-G-45204, what are the differences between them? Can we differentiate them visually? Where can I find the specification writeup on Mil-G-45204?

You can always get MIL-G-45204 [link is to free spec spec at Defense Logistics Agency, dla.mil] from commercial spec houses for about $25, if you can't open the assist website, Gavin. I've never understood why our politicians think it is a good idea to give our off-shore competitors a leg up, taxing American small business to make Mil specs available to Chinese and other competitors for free, but the correct address is now http://assist.daps.dla.mil/quicksearch/ [outdated]

P.S. May 2013: The address is now https://quicksearch.dla.mil/qsSearch.aspx

2007 Release is now MIL-DTL-45204D

To find it in the ASSIST Website listed above you will need to search for this new "Document ID".
