Grout remover burned some stainless appliances
I was cleaning a ceramic tile floor with a mild acid for grout removing and splashed some of the material on stainless steel appliances. Now I have little brown spots on the lower parts of the appliances. Any ideas on how to remove the spots and salvage the appliances?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Getting the rust spots out doesn't solve the problem, Randy, because stainless steel must be 'passivated' to deter rust and the acid has removed the passivation. Please contact Stellar Solutions [a finishing.com supporting advertiser] or another supplier of relatively safe citric acid based passivating solution.
Acid is murder on stainless appliances. Don't use muriatic acid ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] because you don't even need to splash to rust the stainless, even the fumes will do it.
