Auto supplier needs better grinding and deflashing of weld joints

We are grinding a flash butt weld joint using a cutoff grinding wheel( wheel dia 150 mm).The equipment used is a simple pneumatic hand grinder (14000 rpm). The grinding wheel is mounted on the grinder using adapters.the component is profiled like "F".Rough grinding can be accepted. The flash material has to be removed. In our current system the cycle time is around 8 sec /component. Can any of you suggest a faster method

Sounds like what you are doing now is reasonably fast. Probably, the only way to improve upon that is to automate or create a fixture to reduce handling.
