How can a school remove graffiti from a brick wall

Q. We recently had graffiti painted on the outside of our school swimming pool. Do you have a good way to remove paint from brick other than sandblasting?

A. Randy,

Why don't you try a high pressure washer? Surely you have one of those in the school. For removal of graffiti on painted surfaces use a car rubbing compound this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] , Simonize [affil links], etc) ... I know that that works ... I've had to do it!

...And if you catch those miscreants, send them over to a Singaporean school and let them try that THERE !

A. Try some car starter fluid, (ether). Just don't smoke while you are applying it.

A. Protect masonry works from graffiti by applying "Siliclear" silicon solvent in a can. Dries clear - inexpensive - protects against moisture damage - applies easily - lots of coverage - particularly non-toxic - and best of all paint "She no stick!" Reapply as recommended. :^ )

A. The best way is dry ice blasting -- little to no mess.
