Galvanized buckets as punch bowls
Q. I want to know if my wife was to have a party could she serve drinks from a one gallon galvanize bucket,as for punch bowl.

A. No, that would be a bad idea. Galvanized metal is comprised of, as a minimum, zinc plating that should not be used as a food container. It may also contain a hexavalent chromium conversion coating, and up to one percent lead. A simple rule is to not use things for purposes they weren't intended because there is never a history of safe use that you can rely on in that case. Good luck.

A. Yes. I used a galvanized bucket for my son's grooms table. I lined it with one of the large plastic liners that you line a crock pot with and then I tied it with a piece of twine around the top to hold it. It was amazing. Everyone loved the idea.
