Wanting to paint brass to go with wrought iron
I have bright brass & glass doors on my fireplace. The frame around the doors is about 4 inches wide. I have redone my room in wrought iron accessories & want to get rid of the brass. However, I hate to remove the doors (they were a pain to get up!) I have heard that you can paint brass to make it look like wrought iron. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Well, you can paint it black. I don't know if that's quite what you mean, Terri. It can also be blackened with brass darkening solution ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links]
