Heath and safety aspects of passivation installation
My company has recently installed a passivation tank un-covered on the shop floor. What health and safety procedures need installing?

A starting point is the MSDS, but unfortunately you probably need a consultant to visit you. It is nearly impossible to answer your questions. It is not clear what you mean by passivation (citric acid passivation of stainless, nitric acid passivation of stainless, trivalent chromate conversion of zinc plating, hexavalent chromate conversion).
And if we knew the answers to these questions, we'd still need to know if the tank is heated, if it's adequately ventilated, if secondary containment is required, if the height is safe, if there is a confined space issue, if there is a possibility of overflow onto people a floor below, etc.
Sorry to be of no help whatever, but this one is probably too hard to address over the internet.
