Painting over galvanized steel subjected to high temperature
We have read a lot regarding the coating of galvanized steel surfaces. Basically the reasons for coating of galvanized steel is for color coding, marking, aesthetic and added protection (duplex protection) of the substrate. Now there is a query in which we are required to specify a painting system for the flare derrick structure with temperature above 177 deg. C. Please take note that the derrick structure is galvanized steel. At the same time there is a color requirement for this structure to comply with the Federal Aviation Association. Therefore it is color banding of orange and white. Please advise if there is applicable painting system for such conditions. Thank you and best regards.

It sounds like you need a silicone polyester coating.
