Is there a standard for stainless steel finishes, specifically No. 4 dairy?

I've been thinking about this question a long time. I've never heard of a S.S. specification for the dairy industry; however there is a roughness grade spec called N + a number from 1-12 which relates to Ra values in both micrometers MM and microinches MI. An N4 spec is .2 MM or 8 MI. Hope that helps.
