Soldering onto chrome
2003
We are trying to solder conductive signal wires onto a chrome plate. Kindly suggest the best way to do it. Conductive epoxies appear to give varying resistances with repetitions.
The Cr area available for soldering is about 2 mm x 2 mm. Cr is sputtered onto a glass substrate.
These are detectors used for x-ray astronomy application.
Thank you

You won't be able to solder onto sputtered chrome. I've tried and tried.
I suggest that you sputter a second layer of nickel onto the chrome, and then solder to that. I've had success with that.
