Liquid vs powder degreasers and cleaners
Q. I'd like to know if liquid cleaners are really more effective than powdered ones. Liquid degreasers and cleaners are not popular here in the Philippines, they prefer powder.
Can limonene be used for our cleaner formulations?

A. Limonene ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] is used in several liquid detergents. My personal feeling is that liquid detergents are easier to use than the powdered ones. Some powdered detergents tend to lump up or dissolve too slowly and the person making up the cleaning tank may not be diligent with mixing. Also there are some cheaply made powders that contain hard lumps formed when a liquid surfactant was added to the powder mix. This means that the most important ingredient is not evenly dispersed in the bulk and makeup from this batch of powder will be variable. This could cause rejects in a cleaning process.

Q. You have mentioned of only about liquid & powder type degreasers. Please let me know of the purpose, like for house hold materials, or industrial? Also mention about the type of oil /grease /sticky gum etc.to be degreased.
