Zinc Whiskering
I am interested in knowing if there is certified test data available to refute the phenomenon of zinc whiskering relative to concreted filled panels for a raised computer floor when the panels are made by using the hop dipped galvanized process.

Hello, Bill. I've never heard of any certification that applies to such a generality--whether it be "galvanized floor panels are always free of all defects" or "galvanized floor panels will not have whiskers". But I do believe that it is generally accepted that zinc whiskers are a stress-relief phenomena and that mostly zinc that is electrodeposited will be prone to whiskering, and I am confident that there are many published articles asserting that. Good luck.
