CREVICE CORROSION in 316L Stainless Tank
Q. One of my vessels having clad stainless steel tanks of SUS 316L developed corrosion damages. The whole tank has a rough look. The corrosion is of patches of 10 x 20 x 1 mm with very rough texture. The steel maker calls it crevice corrosion? What is crevice corrosion and how can we prevent it?
