Need MIL Specs Mil-F-14072 and Fed-Std-595

2003

I need help identifying the requirements of a coating MIL Spec. It reads as follows: "Finish per MIL-DTL-14072 [on DLA] followed by two coats of TT-E-527 lusterless enamel color No. 37038 (black) per FED-STD-595." The "two coats of black" is self-explanatory. I just need to cover all bases prior to quoting the fabrication side of this project.

Thanks!

You can obtain standards like MIL, FED, etc. from the US government using the following link: http://assist2.daps.dla.mil/quicksearch/

Actually, one of the ones you CAN'T get online is Fed-Std-595 on colors. It consists of many color chips used for comparison, and since different monitors render different colors differently, electronic form isn't in the cards. You'll need to get that standard another way.
